From Timed to Hybrid Systems

چکیده
We propose a framework for the formal speci cation and veri cation of timed and hybrid systems For timed systems we propose a speci cation language that refers to time only through age functions which measure the length of the most recent time interval in which a given formula has been continuously true We then consider hybrid systems which are systems consisting of a non trivial mix ture of discrete and continuous components such as a digital controller that controls a continuous environment The proposed framework extends the temporal logic ap proach which has proven useful for the formal analysis of discrete systems such as reactive programs The new framework consists of a semantic model for hybrid time the notion of phase transition systems which extends the formalism of dis crete transition systems an extended version of Statecharts for the speci cation of hybrid behaviors and an extended version of temporal logic that enables reasoning about continuous change

Using Interval Petri Nets and Timed Automata for Diagnosis of Discrete Event Systems (DES)
A discrete event system (DES) is a dynamic system that evolves in accordance with the abrupt occurrence, at possibly unknown irregular intervals, of physical events. Because of the special nature of these systems, different tools are currently used for their analysis, design and modeling. The main focus of this paper is the presentation of a new modeling approach of Discrete Event Systems. The ...
متن کاملGenerating Discrete Trace Transition System of a Polyhe-dral Invariant Hybrid Automaton
Supervisory control and fault diagnosis of hybrid systems need to have complete information about the discrete states transitions of the underling system. From this point of view, the hybrid system should be abstracted to a Discrete Trace Transition System (DTTS) and represented by a discrete mode transition graph. In this paper an effective method is proposed for generating discrete mode trans...
متن کاملOn Timed Simulation Relations for Hybrid Systems and Compositionality
Timed and weak timed simulation relations are often used to show that operations on hybrid systems result in equivalent behavior or in conservative overapproximations. Given that systems are frequently designed and verified in a modular approach, it is desirable that this relationship is compositional, which is not the case for hybrid systems in general. We identify subclasses of linear hybrid ...
متن کاملCottbus Timed Automata: Formal Definition and Semantics
We present a formalism for modular modelling of hybrid systems, the Cottbus Timed Automata. For the theoretical basis, we build on work about timed and hybrid automata. We use concepts from concurrency theory to model communication of separately defined modules, but we extend these concepts to be able to express explicitly readand write-access to signals and variables.
متن کاملWeak Refinement for Modal Hybrid Systems
Timed modal speciications have proven useful for the veri-cation of real time systems. In the paper, we show how the notion of modal transitions systems, the basic formalism of timed modal specii-cations, can be generalized to modal hybrid systems. This allows verii-cation problems for hybrid systems to be formulated using the notion of (weak) reenement, a generalization of bisimulation. We als...
متن کاملIntegrating Timed Condition/Event Systems and Timed Automata for the Verification of Hybrid Systems
In this paper we integrate two diierent approaches for the speciication and veriication of timed systems being used in control theory and computer science. These are the timed condition/event systems and the timed automata formalisms. Our main result states that timed condition/event systems can be eeciently transformed into timed automata which then can be analyzed automatically.
